Words Speak Louder Than Actions

Words Speak Louder Than Actions

We have often heard people saying that actions speak louder than words. But words can in some cases speak louder than actions. This story tells us that we can also say the latter…

In Mexico City there lived a boy named Ethan. He had an Indian origin and had traveled almost every place in the world due to his father’s transferrable job. He was a very jolly and happy boy. He was strong in both academics and athletics. His mother had her own home business of bakery and he grew up watching his father go to work every morning before anyone woke up and returned after everyone slept. He only knew that his father did a very reputed job. On Sundays, he loved to spend time with his father playing games or by going on a small trip with the family. Life for him was very much similar every day except the fact that he met a lot of new people almost every year. As he grew up he had many friends too. They wanted to know about him and what his father and mother did. And every time he ended saying that he did not know his father’s occupation properly. He felt very ashamed of himself and it was then he was determined to ask his father about it. Likewise, he asked his father about his job. His father replied that he worked in a call center. Despite, getting the answer Ethan was not satisfied with it. He knew that at call centers there were shifts but one stay in one place for a long time. Moreover, his job was transferrable that means talking to different peoples in different countries almost every year is impossible. But he had no other option than to believe the same.

Now Ethan became mature and they shifted to Pennsylvania. The day was similar to another day. But that day his father didn’t come back home to the work. He and his mother were extremely worried. They informed the local police and filed a missing diary as well. They hoped that he would return soon. But days passed by and he did not return even after a week. Ethan and his mother searched him like mad persons. Then Ethan decided to search for everything very minutely. So he asked for the CCTV footage and found his father in a very remote part of Pennsylvania. When they went there his father was not there. Ethan and his mother lost all their hopes as they also couldn’t find any clues.

After three weeks and two days later, his father came and without answering their questions he told them that now they had to go to India as soon as possible. They followed his words went to the place where they actually belonged to. When they reached India, he revealed the biggest secret of his life. He was actually a secret agent from the Indian government. He went to different countries to accomplish small missions. But, this time they had to deal with the biggest criminal of all time, Dudley. He also told them that the mission was really hard and it took them two weeks to identify Dudley’s actual location. But they succeeded in their mission. Both of the listeners were shocked. They could not believe their ears. They understood why some people say “ Words speak louder than actions” instead of saying, “ Actions speak louder than words”.

Finally, I want to thank my Cousin (Sagnik Bairagya), who is actually the author of this story. Thank you, Dada, for writing this story. Hope you all like it.

Your Father's Prey

Your Father’s Prey Anuj had gone on a holiday for one month and when he returns, he turned the key in the lock and opens the door.
